I agree that compared to most languages except English, French is much easier to learn. In my local area, everyone focuses on learning Spanish because of the increasing percentage of Hispanics entering the country, but business wise, I think there are more businessmen and women of French descent, so that’s who I would want to target.

I studying French at school when I was 13, but found it quite hard. Since then I have studied Spanish and to me Spanish seems a language that is at least AS important to study as French, and probably more important. Along with Mandarin and English it is one fo the three most commonly spoken language in the world. It is also fairly easy to learn. Having studied Spanish for several years I now find I can understand a lot of written French, interesting, because both languages (and English as well) are Latin based.
french is 2nd language that learn as foreign language after english
I would say it is good to learn a second language rather its french, spanish, german or whatever.
